Caitlin Moon
MA, JD
Since graduating from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1998, I've been working with folks across Tennessee to plan purposefully in all matters related to both small and large businesses - from entity creation, to the sale of an existing business - and all that takes place in between.
Regardless of the help someone needs, I view my role as one of counselor and communicator. I've learned in 14 years of practice that communication is key to a successful lawyer-client relationship. To this end, I've written about what people should expect from their lawyers, as well as what we expect from our clients. A BA and MA in communication, and extensive training as a civil mediator, also come in handy when helping clients navigate challenging situations.
I’m a fifth generation attorney, and those who came before me leave big shoes to fill: a great-great uncle who was chief justice of the Supreme Court of Kentucky, a grandfather who was a Kentucky Circuit Court Judge, and a father whose commitment to serving the public through the practice of law is a constant inspiration.
I live in Franklin, TN, with my husband and two children, in the house where my husband was raised. In addition to the law, I have a fascination with all things related to technology, and also enjoy reading and writing books. My husband and I watch our children play a lot of basketball, and spend way too much time taking care of the Moon zoo (currently two goats, a dog, four horses, 20 cows, two ducks, two cats and too many chickens to count).
P.S. In addition to business counsel, I also work with individuals and families to create thoughtful estate plans, focusing on practical solutions to carry out individual goals and wishes. To learn more about how I can help, visit our primary website csquaredlaw.com.
I help people create, plan, grow, and transfer businesses. And everything in between.
